Terminal asbestos-related medical condition

In 2016, Brian was diagnosed with a terminal asbestos-related medical condition as a result of exposure to asbestos, through his employment with the Defendant when he was younger. Brian subsequently instructed MRH Solicitors Serious Injury team to act on his behalf to recover compensation for his injury and loss.

Sadly Brian died in 2017 and the claim for compensation continued on behalf of his estate and in particular for the benefit of his partner.

Brian’s claim was difficult as the Defendant denied liability and it was necessary for MRH Solicitors to commence legal proceedings.

Over the course of 12 months, the Defendant’s representatives continued to dispute liability and even invited Brian’s partner to withdraw the claim on three occasions.

With the support and advice of MRH Solicitors, Brian’s partner continued to pursue the claim and one week prior to the final court hearing, the Defendant’s representatives settled the claim in full.

Through the experience and persistence of MRH Solicitors, they were able to recover substantial damages on behalf of Brian’s estate, in what were very difficult circumstances.
